As literacy educators, we constantly reflect on our practice to improve our instruction, discuss problems and challenges so that we can solve or address them, and critique our work to ensure we are giving our very best each and every day. Doing so helps us to become the best literacy educators possible!
It is equally important to celebrate and share our successes in our work. Today, to open our weekly, Wolfpack WORKS, coach meeting, we shared some of our successes! We each received a YOU ROCK! rock, and discussed with one another the wonderful things that we accomplished over the past week.
Our coaches implemented professional development sessions in their districts on evidence-based phonics instruction, provided our teachers with materials to support their “word work” and writing instruction, modeled and worked with our teachers as they implemented small-group reading instruction, engaged in excellent discussions about literacy instruction with some of our outstanding Wolfpack WORKS district leaders and building-level administrators, and provided encouragement to our fantastic teachers…just to name a few of our accomplishments this week!
Our Wolfpack WORKS coaches do indeed “rock!” We encourage you to reflect upon how you “rock,” too!
